Kadokawa Games has released a new story trailer for it's upcoming game, Root Letter. Root Letter will be the first game in the Kadokawa Game Mystery brand. The trailer has English subtitles so you'll have no problem watching it!

Root Letter is set in Matsue, Shimane Prefecture, where the protagonist arrives in search of Fumino Aya, a pen pal friend from high school whom had disappeared for 15 years. After he finds a letter dedicated to him from her that was never sent, he sets out to interrogate her classmates as he wonders if everything Aya had told him had been a lie.

Root Letter is a visual story game. The general gameplay will be split into two parts: the adventure part, where you interrogate other characters who knew Aya to gather more information on her disappearance, and a second part which is the simulation, where you live and play through prior interactions with Aya.

The game will also contain multiple endings based on the player's choices throughout the game. Root Letter is set to be released exclusively for PlayStation 4 and PS Vita in mid June in Japan, and has been confirmed for a worldwide release at some point in 2016 as well. No exact date has been confirmed yet but as always we will keep you updated. You can watch the new trailer below.
