Over the last few days it has been rumoured that Black Ops 4 will be the next game in the Call fo Duty franchise. Reports have been popping up all over the internet leaving some fans extremely excited and others very disappointed.

The rumours started the other day when "industry insider" Marcus Sellars tweeted "COD 2018 is Black Ops 4 and is coming to PS4/Xbox/PC/Switch. It is set in the modern times and is boots on the ground. The Switch version will support DLC, HD Rumble and motion controls. The Switch version is also being ported by a company which is familar with COD games."

It has been reported that Sellars was also correct last year when he tweeted that 2017's Call of Duty game was going to be World War 2, and he was correct.

Another reason why people think that Black Ops 4 is this years title is because of another tweet from James C Burns, the actor who portrayed Sgt. Frank Woods back in Black Ops 1. He tweeted ".. Its a bit early for the "official" leak faucet to start dripping.... But..in the past...the pipes have been compromised... AND smart folks do piece together the available intel in surprising ways... might wan to go " X-files" on this...@jamescburns"

Fans aren't 100% about this tweet as James Burns was only in the first Black Ops game, and unless his character is returning in Black Ops 4, fans are pretty sceptical over this one.

Onto the last and most compelling piece of evidence, Eurogamer took to their website yesterday and posted an article about Black Ops 4 being the next title. Eurogamer are the biggest independent gamer site in Europe, whose sources always seem to be correct. The majority of players are now convinced that this years Call of Duty will in fact be Black Ops 4 due to the opening line of their article - "This year's Call of Duty game is Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, multiple sources have confirmed to Eurogamer."

It seems that Eurogamer have their own multiple sources who have confirmed the news to them. This also happened last year as well when Eurogamer said that their own sources have told them that 2017's game would be World War 2.

At the moment it's still all up in the air, and at this stage it's anyones guess. What do you think? Do you think the rumours could be true or are you convinced that Trayarch will be releasing a brand new Call of Duty title?
