Reports have started to appear online regarding a Spyro the Dragon Trilogy remaster. The rumours first popped up on Kotaku, where multiple sources have confirmed to them that the remaster is currently in the works by Activision and it set to be announced in March for PS4.

Apparently the trilogy will feature new lighting, assets, animations and cinematics and even a remastered soundtrack. There will also be update features to the "save feature", much like what was done with the Crash Bandicoot N.Sane Trilogy.

The remaster reportedly is set to include Spyro the Dragon, Ripto's Rage and Year of the Dragon, and is due for a release at the end of the year. Speculation is that if this remaster is true, it will more than likely be release in September as that is the 20th anniversary of the first release of Spyro.

With the success of last years remaster Crash Bandicoot N.Sane Trilogy by Vicarious Visions, it's unsurprising that reports are now popping up about a Spyro remaster. Watch this space!
